I was referred for therapy in June following a traumatic assault which took over my entire life.

My therapist's name was Bernie Hammond, she was fantastic and so understanding. I remember her saying I should be fine by October and I was thinking to myself there is no way I am going to feel any better in such a short space of time.

Bernie helped me understand why my body was reacting to the thoughts and helped me face my fears through vivid exposure also showed me ways to manage the panic attacks. I will always be grateful for her support.

After four months I am able to go out alone again be a mum to my daughters and have even started a degree in university which I didn't think was going to happen. I feel alive again and am looking forward to my future. I recommend this therapy to anyone who is struggling, at first I was sceptical but I can say it 100% worked for me.

What great feedback, thank you very much for letting us know what a difference accessing IML has made to you and your life.

It sounds like you worked very hard with Bernie to have improved so much and to be getting such a lot more out of your life now, it certainly sounds like understanding what was happening to you was a major factor in your progress.

It is really touching to hear how you are now enjoying being a mum and feeling alive again and even attending Uni. It sounds like you are really moving on from the very traumatic time you went through and I am delighted that IML and specifically Bernie were there to help you at this time.

I wish you all the very best for the future and will ensure that Bernie receives this lovely feedback.
