"Care after a stroke"

About: Bassetlaw / Neuro and stroke service City Hospital campus / General medicine Queen's Medical Centre / General medicine

(as a service user),

Admitted to hospital in August for two days following a 'medium' stroke. Care from the doctors and nurses was first class; even the food was of more than reasonable quality.

Allowed home, it was so reassuring to discover that an NHS community care group came out to visit you, and over the following weeks and months were there to help and advise through recovery.
