"I was an inpatient at North Tyneside ..."

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was an inpatient at North Tyneside General Hospital from April 2007 to November 2007. The media is often critical of the treatment patients receive in NHS hospitals but in my experience this was certainly not the case. My surgeon was very supportive, the ward manager on ward 6 and her staff at all levels were tremendous and made me feel part of a family. My wife and family were also very appreciative of the care I was given.

Thank you for taking the time to inform Northumbria Healthcare of the recent care you received. We are very pleased to learn that you had a positive experience and that you found all the staff carried out their work in a caring manner. We will pass on your kind comments to the staff as it’s always encouraging to know their hard work is appreciated, particularly as you mention when there is so much bad press regarding the NHS.
