My wife attended day surgery on Friday 18th October. It was her first ever operation and also the first time she had ever had to have a general anaesthetic. She was very nervous and very panicky but the care and understanding all the nurses showed was fantastic throughout. Even though it was very busy, they took the time to talk her through everything and nothing was too much trouble both before and after her op. I want to make a particular mention to one of the nurses. She was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for her - she sat and listened to every concern we had and gave advice and care far beyond what she would be expected to. I just wanted to say a big thank you to her and all the other staff on the day surgery unit!
