What could be improved
Attended A&E Tue 10 June 2100(+/-). Police brought man in in handcuffs with cuts to right hand. He was allowed to lean over counter and bleed all over it. After he had been taken to treatment room receptionist proceeded to wipe fresh blood off the desk with a tissue paper - without having put on gloves/without following it up with a disinfectant wiope/spray - which she then dumped in waste paper bucket behind reception. There was also a blood trail from the entrance to the desk which was completely ignores. What has happened to infection control procedures?
