Anything else?
I am double leg amputee and have spent a term in the rehabilatation ward at the Camborne and Redruth Hospital after having my legs removed in Treliske Hospital. I found this unit extremely helpful In preparing me for my false legs and getting me prepared for the outside world. They have plenty of facilities for wheelchair users and a room for the physiotherapists to give you exercise treatment preparing you for getting your false legs or arms as needed. In the last few years the ward has been updated and painted at I presume a fair cost to the Hospital trust. It has now been brought to my attention that they are going to close this ward and turn it into offices, and this ward is being moved to an older part of the hospital which will involve major updates and changes to both wards. The new proposed ward will require major changes so that it offers all the same facilities that the old ward had. Can I say what a complete waste of the trusts money, which is already way over spent, It seems obvious to me and other patients that your office staff are more important than the patients Doctors physiotherapists and nurses in Cornwall. Please get your priorities into perspective and stop wasting money..
