"Visit to see a dermatologist"

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

An appointment made by my GP to see the dermatology department as there could be a possibility I had developed skin cancer. The doctor had no bedside manner whatsoever and I left his consultation room feeling sick with worry and was given an appointment to come back for a biopsy.

I feel the doctor didn't once talk to me and had no desire to do so either.

I came for the biopsy two weeks later a total nervous wreck and I was told that my husband could not accompany me in to the room. Again the doctors bedside manner was appalling. The doctor never spoke to me and didn't seem to want to listen to any of my questions.

I hope I never see this doctor again but unfortunately I probably will have to.

I will do everything in my power to find out this hospital have another doctor that I can see instead of this one, who to me is completely devoid of compassion and understanding of how the patient feels when faced for the first time with the dreaded cancer word.
