The nursing staff here were good but they were far to busy to give proper care. The stress of being busy was also causing them to bitch at each other! Well I presume it was because they were busy.
I was sent straight from my GP to admissions and I went for over 8 hours without any pain relief. By evening time I was even more unwell due to this.
When your feeling very unwell it is also really annoying to be asked the same questions over and over by various different people. My GP had everything written out for them however this was as well going in the bin. I know points have to be clarified but when it feels like 4 doctors and numerous nurses have asked you it gets frustrating.
I seen a bloody hand print on a drip stand and the bay smelt like stale urine.
Finally, how can the admissions area be any good? People are all placed in bays together who have different illnesses. Surely this isn't the best for infection control? A woman opposite me vomited in spectacular fashion all over the floor....she can't help it but what if she had the norovirus? That's probably the rest of us infected and then we can take it onwards with us to the ward or home. Also trying to eat when you don't have much of an appetite listening to somebody having explosive diarrhoea isn't the best for their privacy and other patients appetites.
I am hoping I don't have to come back in as it scares me to have to come through admissions!
