After arriving by ambulance at A and E at 2.00am, I felt very reassured, and was very impressed with the staff, they all were very friendly, on A&E and Emu, every thing explained, the food was good, although I had a very small appetite. I was told I would be moved, quite expected, as emu has a large turnover! but this move came at 10.15pm That night! All the way up to Purbeck ward, I did not sleep a wink, mostly because of the noise level, patients wandering about! these patients could not help it! but I felt very depressed for them! the nurses were friendly and happy, ward very clean, but some patients were very noisy during the night, I lay awake in tears, not a nice experience, I understand the bed status etc, but I did feel dumped instead of wanted. Next morning, all staff and doctors were again truly wonderful, so mostly I was still impressed.
