Anything else?
I was admitted to the A&E after crashing my bike at high speed during the Etape Pennines event on Sunday 6 October. Everyone I dealt with in the A&E department was brilliant, from the booking in desk, to the triage nurse to the radiologists. A special mention has to go to a member of staf in the A&E practioners section. She was an absolute star. From the moment I entered the room I was made to feel at ease, she listened to my explanation and progressed my treatment speedily. Even when I came back after having my right wrist x-rayed complaining my left wrist had started to hurt she was utterly patient and referred my back for another x-ray. Once my treatments were complete I had to wait for my friends to collect me. She found time to check on me, found me a cup of tea and sandwich, and we even had a chat about cycling. When my friends arrived she explained the drugs I'd been given and some things they had to look out for while we travelled home. Essentially, if you imagine how you would like someone to be in these circumstances she was it.
"Excellent A&E"
