I had to take my 12 year old son to the A&E Dept at 03.30 this morning. We had to wait an hour to be seen by the doctor but when we were the treatment was excellent. We were then told to return to the Emergency ENT Clinic at 09.30. We were seen immediately by a Doctor. He was absolutely fantastic; his care, his manner, his attention. I cannot thank him enough. My son had been in excruciating pain and total agony for more than 2 days, it was heartbreaking to see, but the Doctor immediately did everything possible to help him. My son had been given antibiotics from our GP but the doctor instantly knew they were not strong enough. We now anxiously wait for him to get better and hopefully he may now be able to sleep. Thank you so much A&E at Lewisham Hospital.
