"Took too long be told the wrong information"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

Anything else?

4 weeks ago I had a procedure at the hospital, they told me it would be 10 days maximum until I found out the results. After many phone calls and promises of letters and my results from their end, today after 4 weeks I got my results. Fair enough the results were clear but I have anaemia and the procedure was to help find out why after not knowing since I was 14. I have been on iron tablets since then and my iron levels have never been correct. I do not lose blood either and the doctor from the hospital just put down my anaemia to blood loss and said I should go on iron tablets. Did he not read my notes and see that I have been for 6 years and that I've had all different tests to find out why I have it? So now I'm back to step one.

We are very sorry that it took so long for you to receive your results and that you feel you are no further forward in solving your health issue. You may want to contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service to see if we can be of any further help or discuss the issue again with your GP.
