"I found A&E staff very helpful"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Anything else?

Overall pretty good. Was rushed into A&E via ambulance on Thurs 3rd Oct late at night in a great deal of pain & discomfort. Due to a prior brain injury (a separate problem), I had a lot of problems coping in a very busy A&E, but staff helpfully found a small quiet side-room. Did a lot of diagnostic testing, saw a doctor & surgeon fairly quickly and was out within 3 hours (which included a 45min delay for a blood test that needing redoing). Ambulance staff were also top notch with a staggering 2min response time (They arrived literally before we put the phone down!) A lot of people bash A&E depts for being busy (inevitable at peak Fri/Sat night times), but my experience was overall very positive with both hospital & ambulance staff. Thank you.

Thank you so much for providing us with such lovely feedback, staff in A&E will appreciate your comments. I am glad we were able to see and treat you in a timely way, the department does get busy particularly in the evenings and so good to hear all went well for you.

We are very proud of our staff who provide a professional and efficient service with care. Thank you again for taking time to comment.
