"Disabled parking"

About: Queen's Medical Centre

Anything else?

Can I add my coments to the 2 previous reviewers - I have seen staff parking in the disabled car park near the fracture clinic totally unacceptable and a disgrace to their profession - it would appear that no checks are made - today 15 cars no blue badge and genuine disabled visitors having to wait to park or as most do park else where and struggle to get to the main entrance - something needs to be done and quickly, perhaps the security staff that sit watching football on TV in their office might be able to help ? Or are they too busy.

Response from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

We do acknowledge that this has been a worsening problem over the last few months, which is impacting on those patients, visitors and carers who need to use these parking spaces most.

From next week (w/c 14 October) we will be increasing patrols in these car parks to ensure that both patients and staff are parking appropriately. We will also politely remind our own colleagues that when parking on-site, only designated staff car parks should be used and describe the impact inappropriate parking has on our patients and visitors.
