"Urgent Admission to Firth 3"

About: Northern General Hospital

Anything else?

I was admitted this week as an urgent admission to Firth 3. I am a theatre matron and conscious that not only do I look at services with a critical eye but that can also feel intimidating to staff. I cannot fault Firth 3: this is an excellent ward and a credit to the staff and leadership of the unit. The staff were brilliant, friendly, attentive and responsive at all times, even the cauliflower sleep was excellent. Their response to pain control was almost immediate and much appreciated by me, I am coming back for urgent surgery in a couple of weeks and if an overnight stay would hope to be back on Firth 3. IJA and his team were exellent and the FYi that clerked me in was excellent - she will go far! Overall, would rate this ward and the staff as excellent, I hope this feedback will be shared directly with the staff on Firth 3 and IJA and his team.

Dear Princess Maxwell

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your recent stay on Firth 3 at The Northern General Hospital.

Positive feedback is very welcome and encouraging for staff who always strive to provide a high standard of care for patients. I will ensure that your comments are passed on to the relevant members of staff and their managers.

I hope that your ongoing treatment is of the same high standard and that you make a good recovery.

Thank you again
