"Cardiology problems at Heartland"

My husband has an artificial biventricular pacemaker that was fitted 10 years ago. He has regular checkups, earlier this year he had a routine ECG.
As a result of the ECG a CT scan was recommended and an appointment duly made. The CT scanning department called prior to his appointment to let us know that my husband had incorrectly been place on the chest scan list and that this had been corrected and he was now on the cardiac list the following week.
My husband went for his CT scan and was given two doses of beta blockers to slow his heart down. He was about to be given a third dose when he explained he had a pacemaker. I assume they had read his notes!
We received a letter after the scan to say that the results would be available 7 -10 days later. I phoned the cardiology department after 14 days and again 1 month later but the results were still not available. I assume the holdup was in the Radiology department.
At the end of Sept I phoned the cardiologist's secretary to check whether the CT scan report had been received. It was only received on that day, 5 weeks after his scan.
On the same day I phoned the cardiologist's secretary we attended the Queen Elizabeth hospital to have my husband’s pacemaker adjusted. It seems too much of a coincidence that his pacemaker went off kilter following the CT scan and the beta blockers administered at that time.
