Anything else?

On 20th September I came to the walk in centre at 1.50pm. I was advised that this was the time to arrive. When I got there I took my number, which was 19, and had my name put on the list. I did not know or was not advised that I should arrive earlier to the clinic as there would be a lot of people. I called my father and my mother to see if it would be possible for them to collect my son at 3.20 as I would not be able to make it in time to due to my being number 19 in the queue. I did not receive any answer as they were both working. I went to speak with someone and explained that I work from 8am-3pm and collect my son at 3.20pm. I then go to my second job at 4pm till 7pm so I could not stay at the clinic. This person spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner and was extremely rude and unhelpful. She then told me that she would put my name down for a replacement hearing aid and would call me when it was ready for collection. I phoned on 30th October as I hadn't heard anything and the lady who I spoke to explained that my name was not down to see any of the doctors nor in fact was the replacement ordered for me. I am very upset as to why I was not contacted to say it would not be done, or why I have had to wait over a week to be told any information. This is not the first time that I have been treated in an unprofessional manner by this person. My instinct was that she would not place the order for me nor contact me due to the level of rudeness I received from her on the 20/09/2013. I am still awaiting my replacement hearing aid and I am very disheartened at the way I have been treated by a member of your staff. Deafness is a terrible disability and I would expect that staff employed by yourselves to work in the clinic would be sympathetic towards patients. As I stated I work two separate jobs and took half a day's holiday on Friday 20th September to get my replacement. I cannot stress strongly enough how upset her attitude has made me and I noticed that she treated other patients in the same rude and offhand manner. There are notices all around the hospital that state that you will not accept rudeness to your staff and would expect the same from your staff towards patients.
