On my visit, i was not given an exray. I was told I had kidney stones after an examination and a water and blood test. I was given tablets and sent home and told to come back if the pain got worse. I believe that an exray should have been carried out to see what kind of stones they were and how big they were.

Thanks for your comment. We are sorry if you didn't feel that you had a good experience with us. X-rays aren't always needed to diagnose kidney stones and scans will only be done if they are felt to be clinically needed. Scans and X-rays contain radiation so are only given when the doctor looking after a patient feels that they are needed. Water and blood tests are accurate at diagnosing kidney stones.
