"Why doesn't anybody ever answer the phone"

After trying to change an appointment - and sitting ringing all numbers possible nobody ever answered. When I got to Oral Surgery there was nobody behind reception desk for a good 20 minutes, a queue was building up. Even when the receptionist was there was noted that she never attempted to answer the telephone even though it was ringing constanty. I nearly got up myself at one point to answer the blooming thing - if they are too busy to answer the telephone then maybe just take it off the hook - but saw her sat there looking at a computer screen so she could have answered. If we were to do that in other areas and not answer a ringing telephone we would be told off. Can you please train your staff that when a telephone is ringing - it needs to be answered! I am still sitting with the phone ringing trying to get through and again nobody is answering. NHS trust sort this out please.
