"Cannot contact anyone in the department"

I was referred by my GP for kidney stones on August 19. No feedback on my appointment. Given various phone numbers to ring. No one even picks up the phone! Does not let you leave a message. After numerous attempts managed to speak to secretary in Stoke Mandavelle today 12 sept. They claimed that they only got the referral on 9 Sept and a decision for appointment will be made in a week. I cannot believe the level of incompetence and poor service in NHS in this county. God help us!
