Anything else?
I have had numerous procedures over the course of 25 years, at a number of hospitals in the UK, for the treatment of Endometriosis. I can highly recommend the staff and hospital at New Cross Hospital. They were utterly professional, caring and above all kept me informed. I had been slightly apprehensive about having a full hysterectomy as I am only 43 years of age, the staff at the hospital were very re-assuring and attentive, I couldn't have asked for a better team to take care of me. They were ultimately professional and kind. Really I don’t know how the nurses do it, they must be saints! A huge thank you, to my consultant who stepped in and carried out the procedure at such short notice, he was very courteous and has a lovely bedside manner. He managed to keep my scar to the very minimum, for which I am very grateful, as I do like to wear a bikini! The tea/food lady went to great lengths to find suitable food to help sustain a number of the patients; from gluten free bread, to peppermint or ginger tea which helped immensely when we were feeling nauseous and were unable to drink tea or coffee. I am so pleased I decided to come here from Cornwall and not go to my local hospital. Many people are not aware, that you can choose to have your operation anywhere in the UK, I am eternally grateful to my previous GP who informed me about the choices I could make.
