"Emergency admission"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Anything else?

My mother, who was under the care of the oncology team, became unwell at home. I rang the on call oncology nurse who agreed that Mum needed to come up to Rake Lane. We arrived, booked in and were immediately taken through to to a nurse. Within minutes she was assessed by a Doctor and treatment started, she was subsequently admitted and stayed for 2 days I would just like to put on record my thanks to all concerned for the care received by my Mum. The staff were very kind and both my Mum and I were very grateful for the prompt attention. Thank you

Response from North Tyneside General Hospital

Dear Sir/Madam Thank you so much for your very kind words relating to the care that your mother recently received at North Tyneside Hospital . I was delighted to hear that the care your mother experienced was both efficient and compassionate to her needs. It is really important to the staff that our patients and their families experience the type of prompt care that provides them with a sense of reassurance. The staff within oncology work extremely hard to provide excellent levels of patient care and this is reflected by what our patients say. For the third year in a row our patients have rated our oncology teams and services to be among the very best in the country with regards to patient experience. We are very proud of them all. All of the staff will really value your comments and will be so pleased to read about the difference they have made to you both, thank you. I do hope your mother is feeling well. Best Wishes Annie Annie Laverty – Director of Experience
