"I have now been twice for an operation ..."

About: Burnley General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I have now been twice for an operation in the Day Unit and twice I have arrived, been admitted and then sent home because there was insufficient theatre time. I think it is appalling. It is a joke that the Patient's Charter says that there must be a new appointment wihtin 28 days if that appointment is going to result in being sent home without the operation anyway. It could go on for years - abstaining from food, arriving, being sent home every 28 days!

We are obviously very concerned about the inconvenience that you have experienced and would like to investigate this further. However, in order to do this we need to collect some further details from you - if you could therefore e-mail us at contact@elht.nhs.uk we will take this matter further on your behalf.
