Had a lumbar puncture today in the medical day care unit. Staff outstanding- staff who did my lumbar puncture and were brilliant- I was very anxious but they kept me at ease and it was much better than I expected. Cannot believe I have worried over this. Other staff on ward vey , very kind, ward spotless- my eldest daughter stayed with me which was great ( she's 26 ) so again this was a comfort. Ward spotless, all the staff were professional and nothing was too much trouble. Have had a difficult time in terms f treatment but if you need to have a lumbar puncture then would highly recommend this dept and its staff. Many thanks , Vanessa
