I can only say in these sad times and bad press that the NHS are having at present that personaly I was most impressed with the care I received by the day surgery unit this month, albeit I was in for (some may say) a minor operation. To me it was not minor.

From seeing my own Doctor to the day of my operation took a total of 3 weeks, which was partly due to a cancellation on the same day that the bad press came out.

On the morning of my arrival the Ward was spotless and the Nursing staff explained everything and were first class. The Consultant Mrs Shiralkar was wonderful and explained everything in detail and so my thanks to her and the whole team.

I am writing this due to some of the comments that have been left about the unit and I am aware that everyone has their own views. However, to me as a 53 year old individuals this is the first time I have used the NHS and I hope it will be the last - but not because of the care and treatment. My thanks to all in the day surgery unit.
