"Heart attack scare"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Anything else?

I came into lincoln a&e department on Wednesday 17th July with severe chest pains I was seen straight away by a cardiologist nurse, he and the team with him were excellent they did a ECG on me which was showing irregular heart beat but keep me calm & talked me through what was happening then the heart consultant came to check results and said I was going to have to a angigram straight away & if anything needed sorting they would do it there & then ,it turns out that I've got pericarditis ,but I can't thank the whole team enough I came in at 7.45 & was in recovery at 9 so super fast .then when taken to the cardio short stay ward again all the staff especially was very good ,was sent the next day for further tests then got t o go back for mri in about 5 weeks to hopefully show fully recovery a big thanks to all the team

Dear Nathan - thank you for leaving your story here and telling us about your experience; it was good to read how everything went so smoothly at such a worrying time and I know the team will be delighted to read your posting. Wishing you all the best with the coming MRI, keep well and thank you again.
