"full knee replacement"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was a bit upset with the food, I only eat cold food don't ask, its very long story and the sandwiches, tho a good idea, if there is not a good choice, defeats the purpose. Cheese and pickle, salad, with or without meat, basic but filling, and better than tuna (true veggies don't eat fish) egg (true veggies don't eat eggs !! sorry! the porridge was divine, but i got very stuck for choice. Orange juice will give you heartburn if you haven't eaten for 24 hours. Silly things, but hopefully helpful !

To be honest, the best ever staff i have dealt with, in 20 years of living in Sussex, Respect-yes, humour - yes, attention - yes, privacy when needed-yes, and the team i had from pre-op all the way through were fantastic. Anaesthetic can be very traumatic if the people concerned do not appear confident,Jan and Paul were great.

All of Mr Lal's team i met were respectful, helpful, and lovely people. i am hoping to have my other knee replaced at a later date, and am really hoping i have the same staff when it eventually happens . 100% BOYS AND GIRLS , THANK YOU.

Dear 'josephine farmer'

First of all, apologies for the late response to your comment. Secondly thank you for your useful comments re the food options - I will pass these on to the relevant manager. And thirdly, thank you very much for your kind words about our staff - always nice to hear.

I hope your knee is getting better and hope to see you again when you have your other knee fixed.

Thanks

Eloise.
