Following a childhood injury my right leg was 3 cm shorter than my left leg. In August 2012 the doctor operated on my femur, fitting an external fixator to lengthen the bone.Throughout my treatment I attended regular physiotherapy and received exceptional care from the whole of the limb reconstruction team. My bone grew by the required 3 cm and the fixator was removed in December 2012. The team continued to work hard with me and as a result of their skill and dedication, I am now 100% recovered and back to my usual active life. I am extremely grateful to the doctor and the team for their expertise, encouragement and care. I would thoroughly recommend the team to anyone requiring this highly specialist service.
"Fantastic service from limb reconstruction team"
