Whilst the new build is in progress it would be very helpful when sending out appointment information to include sufficient detail on the map so that an appropriate entrance can be chosen. Alternatively the nearest available entrance to the department could be mentioned in the appointment letter. My letter informs me of the department but not which part of the hospital it is in, and having been last week found I had to retrace my footsteps and walk all round the hospital because of changes to pathways and entrances.
