Anything else?
I attended the Rheumatology clinic, the Health Care Assistant who took my initial observations did not introduce herself or her rank/title and having taken my BP said "that's rather high" and then moved on without another word to another topic. Luckily I am aware of my BP and am on treatment for it ( and know what "high" means for me ) but for a lot of other patients I think her remark could have caused unnecessary concern, especially as it could be argued that she was not qualified to make such a comment anyway. I was then taken to a waiting room where, along with lots of other people, I waited way past my appointment time (that I had been early for, to try to be helpful ) with no-one giving any information on the delay. Rather, a group of fairly scruffy staff stood gossiping to each other outside the door of the waiting room - not a good visual image of Circle staff Once I went through, the Registrar and then the Consultant were thorough and professional, made a diagnosis and formulated a treatment plan that is working. So, in terms of "outcome" I was pleased with my experience but isolated, semi-uninformed, comments by Care Assistants, unexplained delays and scruffy staff standing around did not make the first half of the visit "pleasant"
"Messy & disjointed"
