I have to say I found my experience in Oldham hospital very disappointing. The operation and the way that was handled was in my opinion very professional from the start to the finish. The problems came after the operation when the after care started. The staff were totally uncaring such as having to ask for a bottle to use, then having to ask for the curtain to be closed, then asking for the bottle to be removed, not being given anything to clean my hands after using the bottle. At nights the bottle was left there all night until i asked for it to be removed. I had to have a drain in my wound and at some time during the night it had leaked which resulted in my bed being covered in blood and blood on the floor. This was only found at 4 in the morning when i had to ask for a bottle then it was discovered. The blood on the floor had dried hard which meant that i was never checked once during that night. The same night the gentleman next to me had had an accident during the night and he needed clean bed linen and dry pajamas which they did change for him but they never washed him at all so he was left to feel dirty until the next day. There are a lot more issues but feel the more i think of them the more i get drepressed.
