For our 20th research chat on 19 September 2023 it was a pleasure to welcome Dr Ellen Stewart, Chancellor's Fellow And Senior Lecturer, University of Strathclyde.
Ellen's new book, How Britain Loves the NHS, has recently been published by Policy Press, and her blog set the scene for our chat: How we love the NHS.
We discussed issues raised by undertaking qualitative research using stories shared on Care Opinion, and what these stories can teach us not just about experiences of care, but also about the complex and often contradictory feelings people have about the NHS itself. This is covered in chapter 6 of the new book, available online.
