"Emergency gallbladder surgery"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was unwell on and off for over a month with excruciating pain in my right side below my rib cage with suspected issues with my gallbladder. My GP signposted me to Crosshouse Hospital, where I was admitted to Ward 4A.

From here I met the surgeon (colorectal consultant) Miss Yeap and her team, she was honest, open, approachable, understanding, realistic, empathic and carried herself with such integrity.

I’m so thankful for the help and care her team provided. She has an energy that puts your mind at ease and makes you feel safe moving forward with treatment. I want to thank her for making me human again.

Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to share your lovely comments, which Ms Yeap will delighted to receive. It will be reassuring for Ms Yeap and her team to know that you have felt so well supported and reassured, at what must have been a very stressful time.

With all best wishes for your ongoing recovery.

Linda
