"Excellent nursing care"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Acute Receiving Unit (Units 1-5)

(as a relative),

My aunt was admitted to ARU4 in mid October. Sadly she passed away the following day. During her final hours, she was cared for by a nurse by the name of Afia. Our family want to express our sincere thanks to Afia who showed exceptional care and attention despite the ward being short staffed. Her professionalism was hugely appreciated and even more remarkable given the short time she has been in the role.

People are very quick to criticise but often forget to take time to say thank you. So on behalf of my family we would like to say a huge Thank you to Afia and the team in ARU4.

Dear Ali22

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of visiting your aunt in the ARU4 of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of your aunt. I would like to pass on my sincere condolences on behalf of myself and the staff within the ARU4 to you and your family in this sad time.

Thank you for your kind words about the care and treatment Afia and the staff provided your aunt in her final days. I will be sure to pass on your comments to Afia and the team who I'm sure will be humbled to hear you appreciated their efforts.

Kind regards

Kevin
