What I liked
My wife gave birth to our first baby in March 2008. The staff on the labour ward were exceptional. The neonatal staff on the day shift were generally excellent. However, the same could not be said of the night shift.
What could be improved
The night shift need to be told that comments like "shut that baby up" and "you are a bad mother" are not appropriate. I suggest that a bit of training in dignity and compassion would improve the night service.
I suggest that name badges be made mandatory (only the day shift wore them for some reason).
