"Sincere Thank You"

I wish to give my sincere gratitude to the The Countess of Chester Hospital for the treatment I have received over recent weeks.

Following an urgent X ray by my G.P. showing a mark on my lung I was sent to the A&E Dept.

where I was treated very well. I was examined and told I needed a scan and would be passed over to the Respiratory Medicine Clinic for further treatment.

I had my scan which revealed I had mesothelioma. The consultant and Lung Nurse in Respiratory Medicine were wonderful in their difficult task of informing me of my condition.

To confirm the diagnosis I had a biopsy undertaken. The biopsy team were excellent in their proficiency and care as were the staff of the Cardiac Catheter Suite who looked after me as a day patient. I have now been referred to the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre for further treatment.

Once again my thanks to all members of staff at Chester Countess of Chester Hospital who provided me with the care I received and the speed with which it was undertaken.
