"Frailty Assessment"

About: Older people's services / Frailty Assessment unit

(as a service user),

I took my father to this unit for assessment after many months of speaking to health professionals regarding my concerns re his deteriorating mobility and mental state.

The staff were all friendly and respectful towards my father and went out of their way to make him feel comfortable as he was extremely anxious attending his 1st appointment.

They were willing to listen & hear what we both had to say. It was a one stop shop were he was assessed by nurses, doctor, OT & physio saving us having to attend many different appointments in many different places over a longer period of time.

All staff involved in the appointment  - 3 nurses,  Dr Clinton, Emma OT, Stephanie Physio

Thank you for your review of the Frailty Assessment Unit. I will share this with the Team as it reflects the aims of the service to provide 'a one stop shop' for our service users while offering reassurance, support and guidance both for the patient but also for their families.

I am reassured that you had a positive experience.

kind regards
