I have today twice tried bleeping the matron in charge of Kingsfold unit. Sadly, neither of the bleeps were answered.
I was transferred to kingsfold unit after my stay in the amu.
The reason for writing is to advise that the aircon in the 6 bay ward does not work. The ward gets progressively hotter and hotter making patients extremely uncomfortable which is not what nursing is about.
That ward is not fit for purpose and they should promptly shut this ward or mend the aircon.
I cannot imagine working in these conditions are ideal either.
Something needs to be done asap!
