About: Belfast City Hospital / Breast Surgery Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as the patient),

Following surgery, I was signposted to Joe, the Cancer Centre’s Physical Activity Coach. Joe provided a group class via zoom which focused on a tailor made exercise program for at least 6 participants. The pre and post program assessment was conducted with sensitivity and the sessions allowed me to develop strength, flexibility and balance. The atmosphere created by Joe was supportive, welcoming and accommodating. The online session was administered with safety in mind. I was able to work at my own level and challenge myself.
