My Daughter was sent to Russell's Hall Emergency Treatment Centre by 111. Long drive from Harborne. On arrival reception staff chatting & quite rude attitude & unfriendly towards my daughter. Not what you expect when You're feeling ill. Daughter had temperature, severe lower back pain & feeling sick. Nurse called her to take BP. Sadly another cold & rude member of staff. Daughter then called to see who we thought was a Doctor but may have been a Nurse Practitioner. Took urine sample & diagnosed UTI/kidney infection. Prescribed antibiotics. Daughter started antibiotics but no improvement & much worse the following day. Saw our own GP who said they my Daughter had been given the wrong antibiotics for a kidney infection. Kidney infections are serious & should be treated immediately. GP has given the appropriate antibiotics but if no improvement within 48 hours, my Daughter would need to go to hospital. I feel if she had been given the right treatment by Russell's Hall, her infection might not have had a chance to deteriorate to this stage. Very disappointed with this service & also concerned about the inappropriate meds that were prescribed.
