I was working with the early intervention in psychosis team in Lincoln after some time spent in hospital in an OOA bed. Having spent 5 months under Section and feeling scared of what I was experiencing I was apprehensive about returning home and how I would cope.
The EIP team were brilliant. The nurse looking after me was there to help and support me with the transition home, she was able to help me develop coping skills and work towards my discharge from the service.
I was able to access CBT for psychosis which really helped me to understand what was going on and how to cope.
I am now discharged from the EIP team. I feel that I would not have been able to recover as I have without the support from the team. I feel able to recognise if I need support again and feel able to contact the right people should that happen.
I think having this service is really good for patients and want to thank LPFT and in particular to EIP team
"Grateful for the service"
