"Homeless and addiction"

About: Inclusion Isle of Wight

(as a service user),

I was homeless on the isle of Wight living in a tent, i was introduced to the housing navigators that work with inclusion. i engaged with them and got myself on script that helped me reduce my substance use i was then offered a placement at a homeless hostel for 12 weeks, and i am being supported by Mark the housing navigator, having weekly appointments to keep me motivated about changing my substance use while setting goals about finding a more suitable place to live. me and my partner feel very sup[ported by mark and inclusion as a whole and cant thank them enough for what has been done for us as. I personally have never felt as supported as i do now.

HI rw2021

Firstly we would like to thank you so much for taking the time to leave us some feedback with regards to your journey with us, it’s great to hear that our homeless navigator provision is working and that they have been able to assist you with the support needed to help address your current situation. It’s also nice to hear that you are settled with your prescribing and ready to work on building your recovery. We currently have two groupwork timetables that we run and one is structured and called inclusions stem forward program where you work through four stages with one of our ISFP facilitators gaining an abundance of tools to enable a robust recovery with lots of tools and ideas around addiction. The other timetable is based around community groups which include upcycling, photography, walking, art and creativity and much more. Please feel free to speak with any of our team for more support should you wish to k=join any of these groups,

Again thank you for your feedback and from all of us at Inclusion on the Isle of Wight and we wish you well with your continued recovery journey.
