"Defibrillator firings"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I have an ICD implant which fired off 6 times over 4 days during an extremely hot period,. My partner dialled 111. When the paramedics arrived I elected to go to hospital.  Finally ended up being kept in. I was in the Victoria ward for four nights.

I could not fault the care and attention I received from the nurses and auxiliary staff. They were wonderful, every last one of them. I would like to thank them all.

Dear Gordon Tremeth,

Thank you for your positive feedback, it means a lot to the staff particularly during the challenging times we find ourselves in.

We try to ensure that all patients receive a positive stay on our wards and that this drives a good onward recovery/journey.
