Anything else?
I attended the A and E department today as earlier i had contacted 111 and they had told me that they had booked me in an appointment for 12.40pm. So I took my baby sister who is 4 years old there at 12pm. Waited in the queue for 40mins before being seen by a rude and abrupt receptionist. The person beforehand did not speak very good English, and the lady was mocking them and shouting. Next was our turn. I let my sister sit down as she was in pain, and the lady was being rude saying she cannot sit down. I was saying to her that my sister is in pain and needs to sit down, and she said ' the person who speaks needs to sit down'. I explained she is in pain and she kept repeating the same thing.
I explained I have an GP appointment and she then said its not an appointment. Wait.
And then we was made to wait for 4 hours before my sister was seen.
I am absolutely disgusted at the attitude of these receptionists. They need to consider patients health and understand needs. They need to by empathetic. Disgusted.
"Rude Receptionist Staff- Inconsiderate towards..."
