"Poor experience and patient care"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

Terrible I waited over four hours for an ambulance in excruciating pain . I was left in a corridor in A and E all night again in agony . After my operation I was in a ward where other patients who were all elderly were left to defecate themselves nursing staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than cleaning them . Meals were served whilst patients next to me were lying covered in excrement which was naturally smelly and put me off eating . It is impossible to sleep due to the noise from other patients vainly calling out for help. From this experience I feel Crosshouse is a nightmare of a hospital .
