"Lack of access to BSL friendly websites"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Deaf Service

(as the patient),

I am writing to express my concern and the concern of all the patients. This is regarding the upload of deaf friendly BSL user websites. We currently have one website, sign health, and we were told in March that there would be additions to this, BDA, BSL Zone and more. This has failed to materialise.

We feel we don’t have enough access to BSL friendly websites which are essential to our well-being and access to the outside world.  We are still waiting three months on, and nothing has surfaced.

I am aware of the frustration of patients on Grampian and know how hard WM Darren has been working to get this solved.

As the Quality Matron for Grampian I put this issue into a Quality Improvement Plan and have asked for a response.

I have asked for an update and am still waiting, the staff on Grampian, the ward manager and myself are trying our hardest to resolve this.

I hope your post will get a reaction very soon.
