"Fantastic Audiology Team"

I've have worn a hearing aid for approx 15 years and well used to dealing with audiology at Mountain Hall Treatment Centre in Dumfries. I was working nightshift at a different hospital and my hearing aid stopped working and caused me some issues. The next day I went to audiology at Dumfries, explained the situation and whilst usually they don't offer a drop-in/same day repair, Susan on reception recognised the impact of me not having working aids and the affect it would have on me working, and ultimately other patient.

She was happy to get one of the audiologists to have a look but couldn't guarantee me when. This was absolutely fine, I understood they were busy and said I didn't mind waiting. Vanessa likely looked at my aid, reprogrammed me another one as mine has completely broken. This was done and I collect my aid after around an hour. They could have easily said to leave the aid and it could have been a number of days to wait but they were kind, compassionate, understood my particular situation and it was a great patient experience. Credit to both Susan and Vanessa and a sincere thank you from me.
