Last week I had a minor heart attack at home. My wife dialled 999 and after a wait of only half an hour an ambulance appeared.( The ambulance came from Edinburgh and we live just outside East Linton, so well done)
I was taken to Royal Infirmary with the paramedics stabilising my condition.
Hardly no wait at Royal where I was seen by A& E doctor and it was after blood tests that confirmed I had a heart attack. Ten minutes later I was informed I was having another one. The A & E was very busy but through the chaos calm was restored.
I was moved to an acute ward who looked after myself for 1 night before a bed was found on the cardiac ward 103. Here for two nights, well done to everybody who works here under immense pressure to deliver caring standard’s. On Monday I had an angiogram everybody here was great and explained everything to the nth degree. Home Monday night feet up for 10 days and told to be careful. Follow up has been great too.
Well done NHS
