All was going well when I was taken bang on time for my appointment. This was as far as the positivity reached. The radiographer, who called my name didn't introduce themselves... In fact they never even said hello. I followed them into the room, where they asked 2 routine questions, then walked away from me as I was left standing in the middle of the room, having to guess where I was to go next.
After starting up the machine they positioned me for the xray and took up their position. Xray taken, they shouted across the room that the results will be sent to my doctor and that was it. Conversation over. I had to guess out of the 3 doors behind me which one I was to leave by.
It was very impersonal and I was left feeling like I was more of an inconvenience to them. I get that not everyone likes conversation but to work with patients, you need to be able to at least say hi and bye to someone.
