Anything else?
Well where do I start, the Leicester royal not only cancelled my op last minuet (sat in the waiting room in my gown) they had told me all was going well and that my op would be going ahead at 0900 hrs. At 1100 hrs they finally came and told me to go home the op was cancelled as they "could not find me a bed for after the op" & that I would be told my new date with in the next 3 weeks. For someone like me who has to plan to be up in the morning an hour early for every thing to take pain killers as I find it hard to move without them 3 weeks is a long time, so I called the waiting list office and was told 2 days after my cancelled op that a new date had been set for the following Wednesday. Tuesday came around and a call late afternoon from the hospital "Mr**** about your op tomorrow don’t bother coming in the surgeon is on annual holiday" Well you can imagine my surprise as it had only been 5 days ago that my new date had been booked can surgeons really just go on holiday at the drop of a hat these days if so im in the wrong job.
it has now been 4 weeks since my first cancelation an I have still yet to hear anything that is with ringing every day for the last 2 weeks only to get an answer machine and no call back in 2 whole weeks. To say I feel let down is an understatement the lever of care has been well im starting to wonder if there has been any care!
I have my problem for 6 years now and the last year has been the hardest the op is a last resort after years of drugs and other treatments this op was meant to be my light at the end of the tunnel as I need nearly a full skin graft to my whole back.
"Cancelled again with no care"
